I had the pleasure of photographing Viktorija for her song’s cover image in my little self-made home studio. The fact that she is Lithuanian just like me was not the only exciting one as I was also looking forward to collaborate with an MUA! But yes, we could speak in Lithuanian and that’s always, always good fun. We even come from towns that are not too far away from each other back home. Wild, I know.
Hit play on her song on the right and scroll through the images we took below which I compiled into a photobook-type-layout. I hope you enjoy them!
BEHIND THE SCENES
I don’t know about you but I love a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of any production or creation. Almost always it involves some kind of hustle and bustle, and it’s fascinating how something can go from that to the final result. Take a look at ours! (I most certainly mean the taped-up softbox. I mean, how else are you supposed to keep a colour gel on it?)
The shots below are from the studio part of this session which you can find linked at the end of this post!
I’ve collaborated with Isabella Nally who did Viktorija’s make-up. It was my first collab with a make-up artist and I’ll always be fascinated by the craft they do. Y’all rock and keep making us pretty(-er).
We were going for an R&B inspired look and feel with blue/orange coloured studio shots. Though at the end Viktorija decided to pick one of the casual photos we took in front of my window! The creative process sometimes is exactly like that 😀
